Deirdre’ Dix Hunt

Deirdre’ Dix Hunt is an award winning, Emmy© nominated producer, director, and principal of Edge of a Dream Company. Her company’s impressive client roster includes corporations, CEO’s, C-Suite executives, HBCUs and non-profit organizations. Her expertise in developing and growing strategic alliances / partnerships with brands focused on engaging and connecting with their consumers through content is at the core of her success.  Whether she’s leading her team to develop brands or refresh existing brands or create ideations for multicultural marketing strategies, in today’s competitive global market, she brings an innovative style of collaboration and creativity.  As Principal her Los Angeles- based company, she has created, developed, and produced content for ABC, BET, CBS, Discovery, Fox, NBC, Sony Pictures Ent., and Warner Bros.   Currently consulting with global brands, entertainment companies, tech startups and HBCUs, she’s working exclusively with their CEO’s and C-Suite leadership teams to create and develop culturally inclusive infrastructures.

An active Director member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA), Producer member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA) she has served as the co-chair of both the DGA’s African American Steering Committee and the Women’s Steering Committee.  As a member of the National Association of Minorities in Cable (NAMIC) she serves as a producer/director mentor for aspiring TV directors and producers.  She is a former board member of United Negro College Fund (UNCF), and for two consecutive terms served as Vice President of Strategic Planning on the executive board of Women in Film.  Dix Hunt is an honors graduate of Howard University’s School of Communications, has an MFA from UCLA, and Certification from Harvard Women’s Leadership Program in Cairo, Egypt.  She prides herself on helping ordinary companies do extraordinary things.
