Kathy Spillar is Executive Director of Feminist Majority Foundation, a national organization working for women’s equality, empowerment and non-violence; one of the founders, she has
been a driving force in executing the organizations’ diverse programs securing women’s rights both domestically and globally since its inception in 1987. She is also the Executive Editor of
Ms., which the Feminist Majority Foundation acquired in 2001, and the editor and contributor to 50 Years of Ms: The Best of the Pathfinding Magazine that Ignited a Revolution.

MODERATOR: TANYA THOMAS

Tanya Thomas is a multi-award-winning actress, producer and voiceover talent whose career began as an on-air personality at Singapore’s No. 1 Top 40 radio station. After moving to Los Angeles, she hosted jazz shows on KKJZ 88.1 FM and produced/hosted podcasts for Apple, including iTunes Jazz Discovery, iTunes Weekly Rewind, and American Idol on iTunes.

She is currently touring her acclaimed one-woman show, Naturally Tan, which explores body image, self-acceptance, and cultural representation. The show won the Best of Fest Award at Solofest and went on to earn accolades and rave reviews at Hollywood Fringe and beyond. Tanya also co-wrote and performed in the multi-award-winning ensemble play Yoniverse, which was named Best Drama out of more than 300 productions at the Hollywood Fringe.

Her theater credits include Nickel and Dimed and Please Have a Seat, while her screen work includes TV roles on General Hospital and film roles in False Colors, Blame, and Laal Roses. As a voice actor, she has brought characters to life through TV dubbing and lent her voice to commercials, promos, narration, animation, and more.
