Laverne McKinnon is a Career Strategist and Grief Recovery Specialist. She loves to help ambitious, driven professionals who are in transition—whether embracing a pivot, stepping into a leadership role, or recovering from a career disruption. In Showstopper, her upcoming book, she reveals how professional heartbreaks can spark transformation, reframing setbacks as plot twists that open new possibilities for a successful career. A former senior executive at CBS and EPIX, she also executive produced Netflix’s GIRLBOSS, teaches at Northwestern University, and is a mentor for the CAPE Leadership Fellowship program.
