The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program’s mission at GreenLight Women is to shift the unconscious bias that exists in today’s world through visionary filmmaking. We focus on global perspectives which give fresh voices to social, economic and civic forces. We empower creatives to embrace and shape our world by recognizing the civil injustices and inequalities which impact the human condition.

Future events will recognize independent films by diverse women over 40 around the world who have been marginalized, which is why these gems will be celebrated monthly and we will continue to provide platforms for women in entertainment, technology and education.

Our stellar events have included:

• Who Really Has a Seat At the Tablewith Tiffany Mayberry, Christine Swanson, Deborah M. Pratt and Fanshen Cox
• The TOWN HALL Series, I SEE YOU, I HEAR YOU that featured filmmakers Julie Dash and Neema Barnette
• Our Champagne Brunch has hosted guests Kasi Lemmons, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Shari Belafonte, Wendy Davis and women of the armed forces
• A screening of Emanuel and Q&A with guests Starla Lewis and Staci Evans Morgan
